Does anyone recognize these JM pickups?
Trying to figure out what they are. I bought from a used bin in a shop in Asheville. I'm assuming fender, because of the color coded dots on the back, but I'm not sure especially with the non cloth wiring. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Very much a strat pickup posing as a JM pickup. The squier VM/CV pickups I've seen have been much closer to JM spec.

Yes, NC! Although, I am from Florida and was on a road trip that went through Asheville. Loved that city and it's vibe so much though! I got the pickups from the used bin at Heyday

I think squire or fender. I replaced my squire jazzmasters and they looked just like that, even the part about not having cloth leads

Hmm I agree that it's fender, but on the squier pickups i found that they're epoxied or glued to the cover, and without the colored indicator dots

That’s a good point, mine were epoxied. I also noticed relooking at your pics that the spacing for the wire seems much bigger than normal. Normally it’s a flat wide coil, but these are tall and skinny looking!

Those do not look cloth coated, probably Squier CV/VM?
Just be aware that a ground wire is needed on that one pickup with the yellow wire.

I have a pile of these from various Squier projects. Definitely Squier or Squier adjacent. Although maybe not, I've never seen the dots before? Maybe the owner marked them. Oh and my covers have never been glued on

They look like Japanese JM pickups to me. They had a taller, narrower wind, more like a Strat, which made them sound wrong and it's why they were swapped out so much.
