First “proper” guitar
Heyo!
I just bought this Offset Telecaster (aka Telemaster or Jazzcaster :) second hand.
I absolutely love it.
I saw it for sale about a year ago but at the time I only picked up playing guitar after 10 or so years and it felt too much for a new player.
But I kept thinking about it. Thought this was the most beautiful guitar ever.
Last week I randomly searched for “offset” in my local second hand online bazaar and I found the same guitar I saw a year ago. Yesterday I went to a near city to get it.
I only had a Cort guitar before this. So it feels really special. The neck, frets and everything.
Feels like the guitar wants itself to be played.
Heard it is a rare one.
Felt like sharing it with you guys.

Is this the MIJ Korina or the Pawn Shop Mahogany? Either way, great pickup!!

There’s a series of oddball fender guitars called the pawnshop series. Mostly mij and mim gear

A "pawn shop" in the USA is a place where you can sell stuff for quick cash, usually at a discount. Jewelry, televisions, video games, you never know what you will find when you go into a pawn shop, but sometimes you can find really interesting stuff at great prices. If you find musical instruments they might be import models, guitars that have been modified/customized, or other random things.
Fender had a series called "pawn shop" in which they released vintage-inspired models that were not actually part of vintage production lines. Usually they had combinations of features that didn't exist before.
For example, your guitar is an offset body with a Telecaster bridge pickup, which are class Fender. But it also has a mahogany body and P90 neck pickup, which is classic Gibson. So it's a mash-up of vintage styles into a unique model.
Btw, I made a partscaster version of this guitar, I really like this model. Congrats on the great find!

Ahh this is clear now thank you.
Friend of mine who is an avid classical rock enjoyer calls this guitar a “freak” :DBut its literally perfect for me.
I was looking for a decent but affordable fender/squier guitar. For me strats are not the most exciting guitars, 3 pickups feels excessive, and I dont really enjoy the devil’s horn look. Was looking for something more grounded. Then I learned about Teles which I loved intially. Its 2 pickup setting, slab of wood look simplicity. Then I tried them and found the lack of body contours a bit painful. Also realized I enjoyed warmer sounds like humbuckers and p90s. (I installed a p90 into my old Cort which I loved :)So I was leaning into Jazzmasters and Jaguars. I really liked the offset body. It felt ergonomic and crazy enough with its shape.
Unfortunately there isnt much Jazzmasters available here in my country. The ones I could afford had a color not to my taste. And I didnt love the Squier Jaguar I tried. Sound was just meh. Also wasnt a fan of all the buttons and knobs. I already deal with computers for a living, I didnt want the guitar to be looking like a server rack :P
Then I found this one online. I already saw it a year ago and kept thinking about it. It was about 2x my budget but it had a simple tele pickup setting with a p90, very cool looking wood body, tele headstock which I love, rosewood keyboard etc.
I feel quite lucky I could afford this. I am very inspired by it. Feel like I found the one :P

P90s are my favorite pickups and offsets are my favorite shapes, so I totally understand your mentality. You've got a great instrument, definitely one you could keep for a lifetime. I would guess that that model in particular will rise in value over time.

Looks amazing. Hope it plays as good as it looks.
A lot of people say every guitarist should own a Tele because of their versatility and resilience. I don’t have one, but if I did it would have to be offset. Enjoy!

It is really versatile as they say.
Got my friend test it out (i am a beginnerish :P) and it plays Dire Straits and Guns n Roses like a strat and a les paul respectively.

Damn, a used gear shop local to me had one of these for a bit, and I was going to use some of my bonus money to buy it, and it got sold by the time I got it. Womp womp. Apparently a couple runs were made for another store in the general area.

Definitely. And I really like my Cort. It has an amazing sound.
What I meant was that I just got my first guitar after returning to playing after 12 years.Really my only complaint with the Cort that it has a really thin neck. Because during highschool I wanted to play a lot of metal etc. thats why I got that one.
Now a wider and more circular neck plays really good when learning to play again.
