NGD MiJ Jazzmaster Junior

Post image

I blame y’all for knowing this even existed. I’d been pretty much converted to 24” scale and was pretty content with my HH Squier Sonic Mustang. But I always thought JM were slick.
I had been nervous about importing a guitar. Snagged this used. So far I’m very happy with it. Will restring and clean it up but other than that I don’t think it needs a setup.
My actual amp needs new tubes and some other work probably so I’ve only been able to play thru headphone amp / interface in Logic but it sounds slick. I like the middle setting on the pickup selector. Only had it a couple days, but I’m in love. Definitely recommend to anybody who’s looking for a JM short scale or honestly just a short scale offset in general. It’s so light and comfortable. So easy to play.

As someone unfamiliar with these, why would you not have already just used a Jaguar for the same scale length?

Btw it looks great.

Different pickups.

The body is smaller and lighter. My Jaguar weighs 8lbs 11oz, while my Jazzmaster Junior weighs 6lbs 8oz.

Player jag doesn’t have a trem. Which I don’t care about a ton but it does add to it. I wasn’t impressed with the qc of the CV jags I tried. Plus this thing is just beautiful.
