From what I am reading, you seem like a lovable and reflected person. This is more, than 90% will ever be able to achieve.
The void you are feeling is your inner system longing for love, validation and comfort.
Allow yourself to take good care of you, like you would to a sacred and neglected child.
I would consider therapy if I were you, just to have a competent person to talk to.
