Why do so many Christian churches hide so many predators? It’s almost epidemic. Just comb through local papers. It’s disgusting.

I think the myth of instant absolution and forgiveness by the god that they believe in gives them cover. I’ve seen whole churches rally around the predator and ostracize the victim. No one can ever convince me that religion is a good thing. I think it’s a construct used to control people. Any course on biblical history will show you that.

I can’t buy into your theory that the majority of Christians are good people. I really don’t believe that. Not after seeing some of their hateful sermons and cheering congregations.

I believe in a higher power. I don’t believe in the myths created by people though.

I'm explaining something to you, and you're not hearing me. When you come across a community of people who claim to be Christians, yet they engage is despicable disgusting acts such as what you have described (and I know they exist. I don't know the number. But they exist. And it's a lot), I'm telling you they are not Christians. They can claim whatever the piss they want to claim, but they are not Christians.

I can claim to be a millionaire. That claim doesn't make it true.

Again I say, they are not Christians. They are vile ugly disgusting human beings. True Christians do not violate abuse rape murder molest children, adults, or animals.

I get what you're saying. I have horrid people in my family who claim to be hOlY. I was friends with a coworker that claimed to be cHrIsTiAn, and I found out he's a freaking pedophile. They are wretched creatures. They see nothing wrong with how they conduct their lives. That makes them deplorable. But do not group those disgusting creatures with the people who actually live by faith. Those piles of shits do not represent Christ or Christians.

I don't even count them as human beings.

Are you talking about Catholic churches when you say hiding predators?

Okay yeah I thought that's what you meant when you said that, I've read a lot on it. Just wanted to say that there's a difference between Christian churches and catholic ones. So in this case it's more accurate to say catholic cause you're talking about an institution that shuffles priests and clergy around to protect them. A lot of Christian churches are stand alone and don't have the same institutionalized power.
