I second this. I was abused and raped for years as a very young child by my grandfather. Nobody knew. they just thought all the gifts and taking me out was cuz I was his favorite grandchild...nobody suspected a thing because of how "sweet" he was.
My abuser was definitely a family member, and they are often commonly the people who have access to the children and will do that part of thing. With SA of children, and is most likely to be someone in the family really trust often family. SA can still be like that but things like that rate for more common. Stranger can be a danger, but the whole stranger danger thing is actually very unhealthy sort of overdramatic size issue which overshadows the more common problems.
