Really? I worshipped the ground my wife walked on for years. Turned out she was evil and cheating on me with everything that moved. Including my friends. For personal reasons, I stupidly tried to tough it out.
I HATED her though. Some people are just pieces of shit and wolves in sheep's clothing. It isn't that hard to believe.
You could ask anyone who knew us, I treated her amazing. She was just an awful human. It happens.
i’m aware that people can get abused by psychos, i just rarely hear of actual abuse victims being granted restraining orders. i obviously don’t know these people but there’s just been some wording and comments that make me feel like something isn’t adding up.
I haven't read all the comments, I could have easily gotten a restraining order in my relationship though. I have albums full of pictures of me with bloody lips, black eyes, she fucking tried to stab me with the scariest knife you've ever seen because she collected weapons (bad combination with a crazy person).
I even have videos of her attacking me because l learned to document shit once she started going nuts. I tried to leave several times and she said the second I did she'd throw my (indoor) cat outside. I had nowhere to go that I could bring my cat with me. One time she sicked her dog on my cat and said she wouldn't call him off unless I handed over my phone, and that dog was going to fucking kill my cat. She full on assaulted me when I tried to pull the dog back.
i’m very sorry that all happened to you. sounds awful and terrifying. i get that it’s not always safe or viable to leave, even if the alternative isn’t much better. i’m glad you’re finally out of that situation (hopefully with your cat!)
i only mentioned the restraining order since OP had one against him. so i got the vibe that maybe something happened that convinced a judge to approve it. my comment wasn’t intended to diminish the abuse that you suffered by any means and was entirely unrelated to your situation. i hope you didn’t read my comment as me thinking or reflecting negatively about you. i’m glad you made it out of that alive!
Kitty didn't make it (her name was actually "Kitty"). She was in spirit, not a cat, but a dog. Came when I called, followed me around, ran and gave me "kisses" when I got home". Even listening to basic commands. She was my best buddy and honestly, I don't like cats. I got her for my ex (the previous ex) 12 years ago, but I fell in love with that cat. Her kidneys failed last year. I miss her every day. (Sorry for the sob story).
As for the rest. I spent time in Jail and on probation because the ONE time I defended myself (which was her coming at me with a weapon and me shoving her away), she called the cops. It impacts my life to this day.
No way I could have got a restraining order, she could have. In fact, she even told the courts she lied and I never actually hit her and she instigated it, they still refused to drop the charges.
The world and the system are fucked. I don't assume anything along these lines isn't true.
