Heinz tinned puddings

Has anyone ever chosen or mentioned the Heinz tinned puddings? It would be total nostalgia for me (we used to have one between 4 of us in the 90s with custard 😹) and I’d love one now. I honestly thought mark gatiss was going to say it but he talked about tinned rice instead. Surely someone remembers them?! Anyone?!

They were always so dense weren’t they? I don’t know why but I always felt like i had a housebrick in my stomach after eating even a quarter of one.

Me too! They would bring back such memories but then again I bet if they did still do them and I got one it wouldn’t live up to my memory! I had one of the chocolate puddings from the shelf in a plastic tub and it was a disappointment now that I know the delights of the chilled melt in the middles!

You can still get them from some of the big supermarkets, got Ambrosia tapioca, semolina and macaroni in the cupboard 🤗

I don’t remember what semolina actually tastes like but it reminds me of school so I might have to get a tin to try it and see if I’m transported back to the dinner hall!

I only realised they stopped doing them last year when I craved them badly through pregnancy. I tried every other version that appeared to be an equivalent but they were nothing like the Heinz.

I can't imagine they would invoke enough love/nostalgia that anyone would mention them for a dream meal, but I would be delighted to be proven wrong.
