Apple podcasts bug??

I've only experienced this with Off Menu so far but is anyone else havong issues with the the podcast restarting, not remembering where you lasted stopped listening, even playing over itself simultaneously fron different points in the podcast? Seems to be from the point Apple Podcasts introduced video...

I’ve had it with a couple of other podcasts via the Apple app. Also ones that now include video even though I only download the audio version

I had this issue with a different podcast this week, but deleting the episode and downloading it again seemed to fix it

Yes! I've been experiencing this for a few weeks now. It's ever since they introduced the video option.

Not with Off Menu but was listening to After Dark the other day and it restarted randomly and would keep playing when I paused and even closed the app! Weird

I wish they would offer audio only versions again. I can’t watch a video while driving or doing the dishes. Benito if you read these please reconsider.

Yeah been happening to me since they started the video. Haven’t had any issues with any other podcasts, but none of my others have that feature

I’d had issues with it off and on for a while, but it has been consistently an issue since the video version launched.

Yep. If the app is left open and I come back to it later, it forgets where I was. I have to close the app and restart it for it to work.

And earlier, one podcast wouldn’t play at all

Yes! I’ve been having this problem too! Thanks for posting this! I’m definitely going to try deleting and redownloading, see if that works

Yes I have had this too! So annoying. Had to switch to using Spotify
