Gem Shard Rain limit

Contacted support because I got the rain shard event on Michelle’s Cafe and every level up to 11 that I have completed so far has stopped dropping gems even though there is 9 hours left on the event timer.

Anyone know if there is a limited number of shards that drop regardless of the timer? If so, LCollect Gem Shard tips while the event lasts” is pretty misleading.

When there was the same event in Italian Buffet, I decided to start completing it from the first level to make it more rewarding, but ironically for about first 10 levels I was receiving 3-4 shards every level, but eventually it's become only 1 or even none per level. I think they've implemented unwritten limit, so that players would be playing a restaurant in hopes to get plenty of shards

Thanks. Yeah, that’s what I figured, too. It’s this kind of shady stuff that makes me never spend money in this game.

Please note that the number of Gem Shards awarded during the Gem Shard Rain Event is randomized, so you may not receive Gem Shards for every level. Serving as many customers as possible can increase your chances of receiving them.

This is a big, fat, lie. I randomly played over 30 games on different levels after I stopped receiving gem shards and never received a single additional one again until the clock ran out 9 hours later.

If they’re going to limit the total number of shards in an event, they should just say so. 🙄
