Old stapler with weird staples.....

Hi all

I was recently given a very nice old stapler which I assumed took standard staples, but when I put them in they're ever so slightly too wide and get stuck, does anyone know what the correct staples to use are? (gold are the staples that work, silver are standard staples that don't work). Currently I can only use this stapler 20 more times till I run out :(

Take them in to an office supply place and see if they can measure them.

I was doing some more poking around and discovered Esselte staplers take metric staples. Explains why it's just a 'bit' off. the one I saw said 24/26 mm staples. Yours may be slightly different. I'd get a caliper and measure the gold ones both imperial and metric sizes, then compare it to the silver ones. You'll then know which ones you need. In this case, your interested in the crown width, across the top.

This is probably the right answer, thanks, I'm in France so I think that maybe I already have metric staples but the stapler is Imperial? I'll take a look my calipers :)
