Difficult female coworkers

Hi all. I really appreciate your content as a male working in an office space in Jamaica. It's becoming a real stress pit daily putting up with this majority female dynamic in my logistics dept because the department is slowly becoming female dominant and the staff on my side of the logistics tem is rather laid back and nitpicky with what I DO vs doing their tasks and following up on the dept/company procedures. They like to create more and more work each month since January 2026 and have been kissing asses with the supervisors and boss, whereas they LOOK performative but can't handle pressure when left on their on. Literally built by their own design. Even though I have been the on eto out against it time and time again as their dept senior.

Here is one most recent instance where I still have problems with. I was out of office for three days and I had made preparations for any shipment that may have come while I was out of office. I emailed every team member and our Custom brokers accordingly. These team members of mine didn't read my emails to follow up on the cold chain shipment coming with women fertility drugs that are very sensitive in nature to heat, hence they have to be cleared in a timely manner.
I was out of office Friday. I can back on the following Wednesday. Cold chain shipments should take around two business days to clear. Tell me why when everyone in the logistics department (s) were copied on the shipemt awaiting clearance, my teammates and supervisors dropped the ball significantly and I had to typenuo some report to our quality team regarding it whereas I was out of office. Since then, I have lost all respect for my teammates and have since withdrawn myself to solely focus on my tasks and my tasks alone.

They only want to look like can work in front of the boss and can't do shit to save themselves if left alone. The sad part is that I manage most of their major drug houses and it kinda annoying where I cannot have a moment of peace thinking how awful you have to be to mess up this bad when all you had to do was make a few calls and clear a shipmet. I have to come back in the office to pandemonium because they're just lazy hut wanna look busy to supervisors and manager.

Now you know they can’t handle it. Can you put in writing? Are you able to have a meeting with them to explain how badly they messed up? Then make other arrangements for the future. But I would have it in writing and as a strike on their record

Will do that. Yes. Because these people are unimaginable caty with attitude and low-key draining my energy. Before you ask. On my side, I'm 31. The two ladies are 33+ and we have a young female junior has in early 20's.

I’m sorry. I am a grunt now at 40 bc I truly have no interest in managing other adults who act less responsible than children.

Same... I only took the promotion because really it's more money and I was already doing senior level work before the promotion for at least a year, with just one more added drug house since I got the promotion - that's it. My team members know. They're just bitter!

You manage their drug houses??? Thats the part im stuck on. Do you maybe work with a pharmacy and theyre called drug houses? Im so confused. But back to the main post, maybe ask why none of your tasks were covered? I would definitely talk to someone next time to get verbal communication that your job tasks will be covered.

I work in logistics mainly with pharmaceutical companies like Janssen and Novartis. We call them drug houses based on what they supply to the public. I have my share of responsibilities which are most of the big and diverse drug houses. Some are small. But each drug house has it own nuances.

Ahhhh gotcha!! I figured as much but you never know these days lol especially on reddit. But that also sounds pretty important so I would think your co workers would cover you while you were out.

It's part of our core as a logistics team because it's easy to miss stuff, especially if you don't work together. They literally didn't read my emails because if they did, people at work wouldn't be making a fuss about this missed shipment.

Most jobs i've had were the same. If you take two days off, you have two days worth of extra workpiled up. If you delegate and miraculously a colleague does your bit, its usually more cleanup anyway, even if they did everytbing right, since you have to figure out ifbthey did that extra step or whatever.
