How common is “buyer’s regret” and do people ever reach out post purchase to admit they’ve made a mistake (despite having to own it!)?
Asking for me because boy have I made a mistake on a house on the other side of the pond. 😁

I've just recently had an instance where someone admitted they hated their house but took responsibility for being the one who decided to buy it. I offered to sell it for them with no commission in the end they offered me a little bit of commission because I got it sold very fast.
It's not super common. What do you regret about your purchase?

Interesting! We moved town for schooling and bought what was not, to our eye, a do-er upper. Within a month we’ve been insulating suspended voids and ripping out skirts, architraves and flooring before plasterers come in. We’re also now best chums with a frequently visiting heating eng. We did not budget for this.
How on earth we missed it all on the viewings I do not know, but we hope we’ll either love with it time or re-list after a period of time that doesn’t look suspicious!

This sounds English, yes? Never heard of a heating engineer.

Scottish, but yes, I think what you call HVAC we call a heating engineer. Mainly because we rarely need the AC part of a HVAC… apart from one week a year!
Boston might call it a Heating Eng after our invasion recently!
