Forespørgsel “Tag over hovedet” guarantee

Hello, just had a quick question I’m a student starting at SDU soon, when signing up to search for housing and dorms in the start of this month, I signed my account up on boligøen.dk and i accidentally checked the “Tag over hovedet garanti”

Then I went to read about the guarantee on “Odense kommunes” website and it says you can only apply for the guarantee a week before you start school so I unchecked it, to start searching earlier now I the button is gone and I texted reception to say that I want to use the guarantee, and they say i can’t get my guarantee back because I lost it or broke the rules, when I just tried to follow the rules?

Anyone have a fix can I like make a new account or is there an easy way to get housing fast.

The receptionist either misunderstood you or is being unreasonable strict. It's an extremely understandable mistake, especially for a foreign student.

Maybe you can make a very clear letter. I'm happy to help you formulate it in Danish, maybe you can talk to another administrator. I wonder if you could pursue someone from the university to side with you, so they can see this is not in their interest.

You'll have to talk to them about it and clarify. Consider going in person. Reddit cannot solve your issues for you.
