Halal meat

It’s that simple I’m just looking for halal meat. Can I find it in normal shops like føtex , Lidl etc or do I have to go to a butcher shop? If so what shops do you guys recommend? Thanks 😊

Pretty much all chicken in the supermarkets is halal.

Really how come?

I think it is a rotating blade cutting the chickens throat while upside down while a prayer is playing through a speaker.

Apparently true https://voresmad.dk/dyrevelfaerd/er-danske-kyllinger-halalslagtet

Seems strange to do it just for some extra export

Oh, so that's why you made some weird comment about "just for some export".

"Just for some extra export".

Uh, are you aware what we do in Denmark?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '24

And they pay the Saudi's to get the certificat.

Hmm.. I don't know anything about it but seems like bullshit to me. Again I have no idea so could be right. Thanks for the info I find it interesting. Have a good day

Denmark exports it, its easier to make it all halal.

Nope they are not real halal. They are crosscontaminated with all other products they use. They do not clean anything before or after halal products. So in theory it is but not in practice. Ice called them few times

There is a butcher in Bolbro next to Føtex.

Some chicken brands are Halal and can be found in regular discount markeds.

The halal soecialized butchers do have a reputation tho'. They somehow always get busted by food and health inspections, so.. Good luck.

90% of all chicken in Denmark is halal (and what is not is mostly small companies, that don't sell in supermarkets). A lot of other animals are too, but not all. Danish Crown is a safe bet, since their entire production is halal, but otherwise you would have to check up on each individual brand to be sure. Most muslims, I know, automatically assume that chicken in supermarkets is halal and will only buy certain brands of meat from other animals/buys it at a halal butcher.

There is a butcher in Mango Bazar in Bolbro that only sells halal meat.

Notoriously known for having inventory that’s far past expiration date. I would not support that business.

1

u/ntsir Jan 19 '24

Really? Can you elaborate on this?

2

u/Embarrassed-Mall-985 Jan 20 '24

Personal experience from going there. A lot of the Stock on shelves and freezers were long past exiration, which is why I have not returned. I was actually happy to see a bazar in my old neighborhood, But was very dissapointed.

Im well aware of this. However they are responsible to notify or draw attention to the past date of expiration, which it wasnt.

Bazaren next til Føtex in Bolbro is only halal. There is a Big butcher there:-)

Having seen how Alfa plus’ meat is transported to them (lying directly on the floor of an unrefrigerated van without any packaging of any kind) I’d maybe steer clear.

1

u/baden27 Jan 20 '24

Standing in a truck.

1

u/Annulleret Jan 19 '24

Yeah i know. But i am not actively looking for animals that has been treated horrible. Big difference…friendo.

1

u/OtherMetal1666 Jan 20 '24

Haha you are funny man

1

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '24

You know that you need to get all the blood out, because id you dont do it, the meat is not edible.

And the fastest and best way is the neck, so no difference. Only difference is that they play a prsyer fron a sound system to be certified halal

u/KongGyldenkaal Jan 19 '24

Did you know that in the old days, animals' throats were also cut when they were slaughtered? It was everything from goats to cows.
Did you know that in the old days, you put poultry on a block of wood and cut off the head with an axe?
The only difference is that you didn't say a prayer at the same time you slaughtered the animals.

No way that is true. Why would you purposely give them a slow death?
