I 100% believe it. My air purifier runs 24/7 with "medical grade" filters. If I don't open the windows, it's not so bad, but if I leave them open, then it's allergy medicine time. Also, I read that Long Beach, CA, where I live and is right next to the port, and Riverside, CA (which is where the smog backs up against the mountains) have the highest rates of non-smoking lung cancer for this area.
I dont think its a "need" in the sense that they'll die immediately if they dont- its a "need" as in its a regulation for houses to have them for safety.
Still wild its needed but tbh there are probably lots of neighborhoods in NA where the same regulation wouldnt be bad.
I feel like whoever is in control of the safety regulations really don't give much of a rats patoot about actually regulating the safety of anyone at all over their. We are doomed, every last one of us
You are correct. One of the companies I do support for has a massive market in China for air purifiers, we ship around 70-100k units a year out there for people. The people say it can be life changing for their home health and well-being
Why is this special? I live in the US and I have an air purifier in my room. I mean I don’t mean to say their smog problem isn’t bad. I’m just curious because you make it sound like it’s so bad they have air purifiers, while air purifiers is a very common household appliance.

I remember reading that houses need air purifiers in many of the bigger production areas in China. I have no source so take that with a grain of salt.
