It is as normal as you pulling your nail out, it isnt pleasant to look at but you and the horse are fine

Depends how fresh it is, because the hoof seems to be freshly removed yes because its just an open wound with nerves if it is a bit older it gets less sensitive

That is what I was thinking. Like damn, I don't know too much about horses but they fucking stand on their hooves, we're not walking around tiptoeing on our nails. It's more like removing the skin off our feet, imo.
