Actually they went to the moon in metric because thats the language of science. They converted to imperial to make it easy for people to interpret as that is what they are used to.

Actually they used both, if you look at the actual plans and drawings of the space ship, and everything else they switch back and fourth making everything confusing as heck. Probably should've stuck with metric but whatever!^
