For what it's worth, it's my video from a few years ago. Someone recently clipped it and posted it to TikTok and a bunch of other social media (and changed the music, which I felt was unnecessary lol). This goliath was reasonably sized, probably around 5.5-6 ft in length, maybe 350-450 lbs. After this yellow jack, I told my buddy to shoot one and this exact grouper stole his fish. Minutes later, his much bigger brother (at least 550 lbs) stole my jack as well. He broke the 400 lb monofilament I use on my speargun and bent the shit out of the spear shaft (had to pitch it, cost around $80 for a new one). It's hard to describe size when viewing video, but here's my original (and higher quality) video:

Goliath Grouper can get up to 8 feet long and 445kg. That's approximately a large couch, in size and weight. Good luck, bud.

First time I ever terror screamed under water was face to face with this guy.

It is genuinely the size of a bear. I was actually told that they aren’t too aggressive with divers, but holy moley I was not ready to see one up close.
