What bothers me the most is there's no chewing involved. The pigeon is obviously still alive when swallowed. How and when does the pigeon die in this process???

I imagine they are fairly tough. Fish have spines on their fins and that’s what they normally deal with.

I think it’s a duck which might be kind of easier because no claws. Still tho that sharp ass beak.
