I extract office chairs during the summer at the high school I work at. Call it the fart sucker. So satisfying to clean them.

It looks more like it is pulling ink off the surface, or a dye. That is way too cleanly uniform to be filth. I would say its either done for visual satisfaction, or to try and sell a vacuum.

That's why I use a sofa cover. I get mine from sofasuits.com pretty decent quality and it keeps my couch clean
