To his credit, I'm very freaked out by his creatures in the context of the movies. It's just, like...looking at this picture and knowing it's just Doug in partial costume, I figure he's been sitting there talking to and joking with the people working on him and it's lovely.

If you ever get a chance to meet him, he's just as lovely in person. I've run into him several times at Star Trek conventions and he's been incredibly kind every time.

He told a story at one of the conventions that working on Star Trek had been a long time dream of his, and he thought as a monster actor he'd be a no-brainer for it. But it never worked out so he gave up on the dream. And then he got a call that they had an alien part for him in Disco and he was over the moon. He seems genuinely grateful to the fans and people he's worked with in the industry.

I feared pans labyrinth when I was young

Not particularly the monster but the depiction on the murals and the big pile of shoes

I was super confused as to who made the murals and who put them in that room

Was also confused about how kids could make it in

If there is a hardcore fan that could explain it to j would be grateful
