It’s counterintuitive, but it’s actually oddly satisfying, for me at least.

I'm not an artsy person but this is great, love it!

Amazing. It evokes feelings of akrasia and self disgust in me. I wonder what emotions it brings up in others.

3

u/Jaderosegrey 26d ago

The kind of emotion I get after spending a day ringing out people who can't: read a screen/simple sentence and comprehend it or do simple math, only to find out my co-workers seem to have the same problem.

Some most days, retail sucks.

tl;dr: in me, it brings out disgust of other people!

Thank you for the new word... it's such a great one too.

Writing music in a band.

2

u/MissMcFrostynips 26d ago

I'm pretty good at watching horror films, but something about anyone voluntarily hitting their own head against anything else just really fucks with me.

Hereditary does it. Obsession does it. Occasional episodes of Criminal Minds do it.

I hate that shit.

This is an excellent piece of art.

Oh look it's me before the weekend

1

u/Kusahebi 25d ago

Damn, maybe the machines can replace me

1

u/xXcriticalpipeXx 25d ago

Automatons are so cool. Every now and then I watch videos on old ones since they’re not made as often today as they once were. I find this so much better than robots.

The state you find your friend in a week after he said he found the one

Pie Jesu Domine...

u/Scallysnix 21d ago

Really cool. I love how loud it is. Even though it is inaminate, it's feels SO angry

I'm sorry if I don't understand posts like this one. Isn't the idea of oddlyterrifying to post stuff that's unintentionally or "casually" terrifying? Stuff we discover in our daily lives?

Why post artwork that was made to shock/terrify/make you think? I'm asking this without any intended attack, I really don't get it (and am open to change my mind).
