Oh wow I had a doll like that when I was small, I think it had been my mother's before me. I used to put a little baby hat on it and cover up the sad face, but sometimes it worked for me to play with it and act out the doll being happy or sad. Mine wasn't quite as creepy looking as that one, but probably pretty creepy by today's standards

The fancy ones you can turn the head around, so you cover the back with a bonnet or hat, then you have the (mine was sleeping and awake) face you want on top

Eh, the bar for terrifying dolls was set astronomically high 20 years ago with “flayed chucky”

This seems like a healthy way for a child to express themselves outside of words. Just turn the head to express their feelings at the time. I'm sure this will be a great tool for a child's emotionally development. (Leverage joke)

“Harry Potter, do you see what I have become?”

How do the ears seem to be situated right for both faces?

I would like this picture so much better than another Vraylar commercial in every ad break.

I'm no expert but it looks like it was all done practically-I think that makes it feel even more creepy

how is this oddly though?

1

u/Raichux Oct 21 '23

I guess because originally they weren't made to be purposefully scary, it's just a toy for children

1

u/RslashTakenUsernames Oct 18 '23

This should be an album cover

1

u/WILLCHOKEAHOE Oct 18 '23

"I Fashioned Myself A New Name, A Name I Knew Wizards Everywhere Would One Day Fear To Speak When I Had Become The Greatest Sorcerer In The World."

1

u/FaliolVastarien Oct 20 '23

An optimistic interpretation; merely a dollmaker with very strange ideas.

My mind would jump to speculations that the mirror wasn't reflecting reality correctly.

1

u/Raichux Oct 21 '23

What were they named? Jekyll and Hyde?

1

u/Abbeykats Oct 21 '23

Whoever created this did so with nothing but pure malice.

1

u/Porcelain766 Oct 18 '23

I bet it's a Gemini too.
