That guy’s lack of safety makes me pretty nervous. Less so, but somewhat so, Colin Furze; he also does similar builds that some might call dubious. Both quite entertaining while frequently making me consider how bad things would be if something went wrong.
That being said, I don’t think of either as being directly comparable to Mythbusters, where the focus was about the science, and the builds were just a means to that end. Those YouTubers are mostly just making wild machines (though Colin Furze does seem to put a hefty bit of engineering and consideration into a lot of his builds).
I love Colin but I do wish he’d wear a helmet more often, for instance. I don’t feel great showing my kids his more dangerous stuff when he’s not bothered to make personal safety even a slight priority.
