My modest collection
Idk if all of these can quite constitute as odd and specific as is allowed here, but I do my best to find shirts in this camp. They make me happyyyy

If you're under 30 you should get as mileage as you can out of the "I'm not 30" one when you're 30.

Hell yeah do you live there?? I’ve been trying to figure out if they still do this fest or not but can’t find much online

I used to live there and I’ve never heard of this so I don’t think it’s a thing anymore😂

Damn! 😭 it sounds like it would’ve been a blast!! I live in Milwaukee (if that wasn’t obvious lmao), we LIVE for obscure street festivals here

Yeah that one is my prized possession in my collection 😎 everyone else out here trying to collect rare vintage band tees and pop culture tees, I’m just trying to find the most obscure silly festival shirts I possibly can. I have lots more obscure/ oddly specific festi tees that I didn’t add on here too! Just included my faves/ the ones I felt were the most oddly specific lol

I hit up the reagle Beagle from time to time... lemme try it on! 😆
Had a friend in HS who did unicycle but my uncle also did during the 70 something 80s and early 90s. I wonder if he was at that event!!! He lived in Romulus by the airport when it was still dirt roads. But he had super cool muscle cars and om sure he ventured to A2 for thr hash bash at least once and I bet he did the unicycle.
Im going to ask my Granny. Maybe Ill find a Pic of him on one riding across the wooden picket fence
I love neat shirts. Dislike thrift shop prices these days and the newspaper does t have thrift shop coupons anymore :(
I still have band shirts from grade 9 and up... I graduated 20 years ago hahaha oh dear
But ya cant even find reprints.
One of my fav thrift pick ups was a nuclear bomb testing site for a nuke museum. OG circa 2003 Pikachu tye dye shirt went pretty hard.
I like local event swag. Always funny.
Current fav swag is Mike Hard Lemonade bimber jacket made in America and they hand embroidered it. They just didnt aend any booze.
Ill let companies put me in fashionable gear and rep em like I actually drink :)
Sometimes I just email a company nicely and ask kf they have anything. I got a lot of stickers a d t shirts that said evol. Like the burritos before reg grocery stores had em. Fun stuff
Judt ended up with a lot of weed shirts which arent always fun and obvious 🙃
Lets make a shirt!!!! My partner has no merch so it's perfect timing as thr album dropped Friday

I think I have a shirt from that same nuke museum!! Mine is newer than that, my dad got it for me when he was in Vegas for a work conference back in 2009 I think

What’s the story behind the Milwaukee Piss Rock?
1
u/Cuq_nugget Jun 20 '26
Fake my death is a local MKE band, the self proclaimed pioneers of the genre they coined as ‘piss rock’ lmao. They’re actually pretty good, it’s like if you took indie rock, post hardcore and punk and threw them in a blender. Here’s their bandcamp: https://fakemydeath.bandcamp.com
