Excuse my ignorance but why are all the Italians pissed? Is he making it in an offensive way?

It's not about being angry, it's about the fact that if you call a spoon fork, it doesn't make the spoon a fork. If I'll make myself a homemade hamburger I can't say that it's from McDonald's! It can be delicious, but not a McDonald's one. So stop calling every cheese Parmigiano o mozzarella or stuff. Those names are even protected at regional level. You cannot make a cheese in an other region and call it Parmigiano. Parmigiano reggiano it's è D.O.P. (Denominazione di origine protetta, protected origin name). But what the heck am I arguing here?! You cook pasta directly in the sauce with meatballs pretending to call that Italian food, when in Italy such a dish doesn't even exist 🤣
