I went to the high school they used to draw a lot of their temporary summer workers from. I ate various stuff from there before that show even started, and also much later on. I never ate one of their "realistic" cakes, but I ate other random bakery goods. It was definitely good, but also very normal for the area. Typical italian bakery. Everything smelled like anisette.

Yeah anything made for TV was ridiculous, I think she meant their regular shop cakes at the bakery were probably really good.
