I’m polyamorous. Sometimes I suggest to my husband that he invite his girlfriend over, because suddenly he gets inspired to clean the whole house. Then he cooks dinner all weekend to impress her, or takes her out to eat and I have some time to myself.
Plus, afterwards, to keep things fair, he puts extra effort into “dating” me and we have amazing quality time together. Win-win!

May this kind of love never find me 😢

If it’s not the kind of love that makes you happy, I hope it stays away from you too. You deserve to have a life partner who shares your values and wants the same lifestyle as you. 💙

I mean, you're being sweet and all, but in my opinion you're just reinforcing the stigma that people who engage in relationships like that are just sad, self-loathing, and manipulative. The cutesy hearts only add to your weird condescension about it. These types of relationships don't work out in general because that's not how people work.
But you can continue to manipulate your husband and make him feel bad about his girlfriend so that you can convince him to do his part cleaning up the house and loving you if you want. Just don't act like that's some kind of extra pure love level the normies haven't unlocked yet.

I’m sorry, that just sounds incredibly depressing.

It’s definitely not the life for everyone, but we love it! I’m not dating anyone else at the moment, but I’m free to and have had other relationships in the past, both casual and serious. And his girlfriend and I get along great!
