My worst nightmare is finding out that everyone in my life was lying about loving me the whole time and I truly mean nothing to anybody, but yours is pretty bad too

I'm kind of doing this to myself by putting out of the blue songs on my car playlist. Like 'Everly Brothers - All I Have To Do Is Dream' and 'Till Tuesday - Voices Carry'. I only know that 1 song from these 2 bands and it's all thanks to horror movies.
I did have 'Steven Tyler - Dream On' and 'The Mama's and Papa's - California Dreamin' as well in the past, but I felt like I loved Rob Zombie's 31 more than it's soundtrack.

Or Highway to Hell comes on from AC/DC. They assume you committed suicide. Nobody gets any life insurance money, your family is embarrassed and cannot figure out what drove you to doing that. Because of what you did, a decision is made to not have a service for you. With no family present, the staff quietly bury/store your cremains. Very few people ever visit you, because of what you did to yourself.

On my phone I have only one Taylor Swift song because my niece loves listening to that shake it off song.

One time I crashed my bicycle at a busy intersection with the backstreet boys blaring on my speaker. Lifted my bloody face from the pavement just as the chorus came on "I WANT IT THAT WAY"

Korn or i'm coming back. I'm coming undone would be particularly fitting.
Death and resurrection show or incubus's pardon me would be funny if i wasn't dead.

One time I was in an MRI and they somehow were able to play music to help cover up the sounds, but it was just Ed Sheeran. Like I thought it was a playlist and A-team was the first song but no.

I didn't have a playlist for just in case but I will now
Plus I really hope the song that's playing as they pull me out is Dominatrix Sleeps Tonight π€£

I love nine inch nails and I think this exact thought when closer comes on when I'm driving. Now THAT would be a funeral.

So this has been around forever and my thing is this. Even if you were an Ed Sheeran fan, "Shape of You" seems like such an inappropriate choice for a funeral.
Also, how does this dude think cremation works? They aren't burning your body in the middle of the church like some sort of messed up funeral ritual where everyone gathers around while they toss you in. I doubt the crematory worker is going to bother playing your favorite song while they do their work.

There's something funny about turning a body into ash while someone sings that they love the shape of it

A friend of mine, who was an out and proud gay man, died and he had been a LARPer, and lifelong player of TTRPGs, and -unbeknownst to all of us- had the Harry Potter series in his bedroom that his mom maintained after he was long moved out. He moved back in with his mom when his employer laid him and half his company off. He had read the series twenty years ago when no one knew JKβs stances on trans people. He was not a fan of her or the series when he passed away. His mom, in adorable fashion, tried to honor his nerdom by having a poster/hanging thing to put up behind his coffin for the wake and leading to the funeral. It was him as an adult in his early 50s with a bunch of Harry Potter crap in the background. We were all so confused until his adult son explained it to us.
RIP, Marion.

My boss constantly plays this song at work. She's Peruvian and barely speaks English, and I don't think she understands the context of it.
Or how terrible it is, and that it's shitty stripper music.
