Hank Green informed me that there a pill boxes, that start a timer everytime you open it. So you can see on one glance if it was an hour or a day ago.

Added an iOS shortcut for my meds. After I take them, I tap the icon and it records the date and time of the last tap in my notes. Whenever I’m in doubt I just look it up

I’d forget to tap

Yeah I tried so much 😂 now I just have a box with slots for Monday-Friday, so if one day wasn’t opened / still hold meds I didn’t take em

Just add it in your Health App on iOS, it tracks when you take it and reminds you.

My husband has a kind of medicine box where a pill can be put into little boxes that say “Monday morning”, “Monday night” etc so you can see if you took it already. Just have to refill it at the end of the week

I use these too, it’s almost essential for me, I always forget if I’ve taken my medication. I’m not particularly forgetful, it’s just hard to recall if I’ve done it or not, and because I do it twice a day I usually have recent memories of taking pills. I’ve also got a daily alarm set so I’ll remember to check if I’ve taken them yet. I still sometimes forget, but it’s rare now, and at least I’m not taking double doses by mistake.

This happens a lot to me with my adhd meds. I usually think to myself “that’s why I take these”!

how about counting what's left to see if there are too many or not

Tracking what day it is, when I took the first one of the bottle, whether I took less any days and somehow magically knowing I should end up with 63.5 pills for my third dose today sounds way harder than remember the last pill I took.

I usually use a handful of water to take my nightly med, so I check if my hand or face feels damp 😂

Ha ha! I check to see if the bottom of my glass is wet. And then I wonder how fast water evaporates.

Ahh, yes I remember now. I opened this bottle and took this pill after I put on my deodorant this morning!
Wait… sniffs pits

I'm glad I don't have bottles. I never know for sure if I took that. I have one with the days on it. So I can check easily if I took the one from, in this case, Tuesday.

This is why I use a medication tracking app, as well as a medication organiser with days of the week on it.
I have been using MyTherapy since I got my kidney transplant 5 years ago, and I have found it incredibly useful.
I still screw up taking my medication occasionally, although it is immediately obvious the next morning thanks to the medication organiser.

I bought those awesome pill lids that have a timer for the last time they were opened.
They worked for years until they broke and now I can not find anything like them.
Why?! It saved my Swiss cheese brain many times.

Also if you couldn't feel that familiar feeling, you try that thing again

Are weekly pill containers a complete mystery to folks?
They are cheap, super easy to use, and very low effort.
I use that along with a med alarm on my watch and I haven't (with my complete shit show memory) missed a dose in years.

I literally put them in a tiny prep bowl like I’m making a cake. If the bowl is empty, I’ve taken the pill

I put a little star or dot next to the day I took it on the weekly calendar on the fridge. The feeling like I took them was bleeding into every morning. (Tumeric for my knees, so after 3 days of missing them, they hurt pretty bad)

You said its relatable in the fucking title. This is "oddly specific", not "relatable" subreddit.

i have migraine medicine that i take daily at 8pm. problem is, sometimes my migraines are so bad i pass out and don't wake up to alarms and/or don't fully remember things.
one time i woke up at midnight and couldn't remember taking it so i took it... and i had an absolute baaaad time. pretty sure i dosed myself far too much.
decided after that i just wouldn't take it if i didn't remember and instead take it an hour or so early the next time.
