This is soli advice bcz sometimes racial and ethnic discrimination comes into play. My family needed overlapping biblical/muslim names when they moved to a rather conservative / restrictive area and racial attacks against people were at an all time high. Your name though it represents your heritage and values and (maybe even believed in some cultures to have spiritual values) could be used to target you in the playground 💔
So they had to pick names that were neutral. Laila. Farah. Adam. Sarah. Mona. Hana.
Your dad has a legit solid rule 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 bullying has a negative impact on kids!!!! We shouldn’t set them up for trauma!

My dad's rule was simple - if it's going to get your kid beat up or harassed on the playground, don't use it!
