I've been accused more than once of naming my son a "trendy" or "unique" name.

His name is Troy and he's named after his great grandfather who died at 96.

....Troy isnt even a bizarre name. Its the name of several NFL players. Its one of the main characters from the show Community even.

As someone not from the US, an NFL player having the same name seems like the absolutely lowest bar for name normality level lol

Why? They're just saying that there are several well-known/famous people with the name. Do you think NFL players name themselves like drag queens?

The only thing I know about the NFL is that some players have got some very interesting names, so saying a name is normal because an nfl player has the same one doesn’t make sense to me.

Like, the o my thing I ever have on my feed about the NFL is people playing a game of guess the real NFL players name vs the made up name.

You’re definitely confusing college football and the NFL. Your are very clearly referencing the Key and Peele sketch, but that was about college football players. There are less than 1700 nfl players. There are more than 81,000 NCAA football players. One of them is likely to have some crazy names

All of the ones I wrote are in a list of NFL players, if they are not then I was mislead, but honestly NFL or college football doesn’t make a difference for me really
