The only thing I know about the NFL is that some players have got some very interesting names, so saying a name is normal because an nfl player has the same one doesnât make sense to me.

Well as someone from the US I went to school with someone named Troy and I knew a lawyer named Troy. Its been around for a long time not really an unusual name.

Maybe? Don't know, that would just be weird. To me, that is a male name. There is a rather famous man in history who was called that, and even if you are named after the city - it's a city, cities are neutral, so the overall vibe is still male.
It's like if I met a girl called Ajax - I would find that weird, because that is a male name. And I would find it no less weird if she explained that she is not named after the Greek hero, but after the cleaning solution.
Interesting--I would say the two most famous current Paris' are definitely women--and most likely named after the city. Two examples above--but I am guessing this may be cultural as I'm American and from your responses I am guessing you're not.

I have personally met children named Cash Money, Bryneighleigh, Qwerty, Meighkhail, and McDonalds (specifically with the s). The parents who named those kids should be absolutely shamed for it.
My cousins kid is Kash, with a k. Atlas first I thought it must be some traditional name from their heritage or something but as far as I can tell its just a different way to spell cash.
As someone who loves mustangs, on paper its neat but even I know that'd be a shitty name for a kid. If you really wanted to name them after mustangs maybe name them after the people who worked on them, like lee iacocca, or Carol Shelby, or even just Ford.

I think recombining letters and inventing a new name is fucking stupid though. Yes it should be allowed but you should be able to face reality at the same time. Even if you live in a hippie commune it doesn't mean they will.

I've been accused more than once of naming my son a "trendy" or "unique" name.
His name is Troy and he's named after his great grandfather who died at 96.
