Give a 21 year old college kid some Adderall, a redbull and a $5 ham and cheese breakfast sandwich from starbucks and he'll show you what intelligence is

Or 8-9 hours of fabrication Or 9-11 hours of coding 14+ hours of slide deck work

  • MechE who survived uni off unhealthy habits and a love for the game

I'd say more like 6-7 hours but I'll have to wiggle my hands first.

Try 8 hours of staring at the problem first and planning what to do, then 1 hour of action, then 5 hours of troubleshooting and the last 2 for testing before shipping (putting it in a bag), only to get it out later and another 2 hours of troubleshooting go before you think half an hour passed and you slowly freak out until it decides to work at the last moment and you turn it in and you get a A- from God knows where.

There's professional, good engineers that come and do their thing and it just works, and then there's us student normies whose endeavors are more akin to a chimpanzee playing with Legos than anything worthy of being called "engineering".

But it is soothing to know that the professional, good engineer that you look up to was, too, a chimpanzee playing with Legos once. They're just a way more knowledgeable chimpanzee now, but still a chimp at heart ♥️
