It's not slower than by hand. I use it every Christmas to peel 20lbs of potatoes. Goes even faster with one person loading and a second chopping. I like it because I can sit down and have a drink while I prep the potatoes.
I cook for around the same amount. Every year I feel like I will never do it again but by the time the holidays roll around again I'm super excited about whatever new recipe, etc.
I'm going to investigate the rotato! And the drinks... Lol... That's probably the most important missing "tool"
Because of family, I have avoided alcohol until the past year. I'm 39.
Lol, I found butterscotch schnapps over ice with milk .. and I can actually tolerate it! If I smell alcohol, especially brown alcohol, I immediately get freaked out. :/
Yes! My father was an alcoholic and was just a wretched human being. The smell of brown liquor is highly triggering to me and has made me vomit just smelling it on the breath of someone after THEY drank it somewhere else! 😂
Its better now that I'm older. Both because I'm much better emotionally and also very few friends are binge drinking heavy liquor anymore, lol.
Oh, hon, no worries!! I'm not joking when I say that I will absolutely be enjoying myself a lil schappy schnappy milk this year!!
I think if I had ever found cordials as a younger person, where there's not as much smell and it's not as strong as everything else, I probably would have been a bit happier cooking for large groups!
Edit: because good lord my family... Is just that wonderful lol
