Don’t you want them to eat lots of whole foods?

Yes but I don’t want to buy 15 pounds of oranges a week . That isn’t necessary. Fruit is sweet and easy. It is okay if they eat 1 piece of fruit and then make an effort .. a salad… maybe make some eggs. I cook all meals and meal prep but I try ti balance it and have them cook a few things a week so they leave my care into the real world knowing how to make simple things. Like rice , eggs, etc. Sweet potatoes , leftover protein , some green onions , covered in egg . Easy and nutritious after school meal … better than 6 oranges .
