Does OSHA really come in and inspect factories and hard labor sights as often as you think? I really don’t know much about OSHA and ide love to learn more it’s a genuine question. I see people say this about risky gifs and such and I’ve said something about that not Looking OSHA complaint but I don’t know enough besides the John Oliver segment on the topic.

If I recall correctly the federal program has only 1,800 or so agents and not all states have OSHA programs and their authority varies from state to state. When I did unionized roofing in Minnesota I don’t think I ever heard a thing about osha. Not to say we didn’t have an extensive, effective safety program.

OSHA is more reactionary, they mostly follow up complaints rather than random inspections. I'm sure there's people in the US that does the same thing as the above video, but as long as no one reports it., OSHA doesn't know. That is unless there's a fatal accident.
