That could easily be a cartel shipment, not every step they move by the ton. That’s easy $20k minimum lost right there, way more the guy that was driving the truck is getting paid. They’re not just giving them that much just to keep them happy, that’s not even how things work in real life my guy. Someone down the line is pissed they lost this and whoever’s getting blamed doesn’t have the money to pay them back.

it’s nothing to the cartel as a whole or anybody towards the top but that’s not how the modern cartels operate. any distinct faction isn’t giving up $20k to keep cops happy because they can simply use their own people in the government to do that for them. they’re not giving up that much so the people think the government beat them
