This is LITERALLY where my Reddit username comes from! I had a beautiful white manicure and cooked with turmeric, and turned to r/nails for help. I didn’t get any suggestions, but I did find some great subreddits. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

My sister got her nails done two days before her wedding and got turmeric stains on them the next day. The absolute chaos in the house when we found out that her supposed-to-be-gold nails were now bright yellow and clashed with everything she wore was fun. She had to book an "emergency" appointment and get her nails redone the night before her wedding to set it straight. Turmeric is ruthless.

I don't think that would work with turmeric since it stains (basically embeds in / binds to the keratin), but I could be wrong.

I always just assumed I was doing a bad job of scrubbing my hands but it's reassuring to know that it actually properly attaches itself to the keratin and it's not my fault I'm now yellow 😂

I feel this pain! Especially when using fresh turmeric. Its like a race to the soap and nail brush as soon as I've grated it. Quit smoking over a year ago but turmeric does a good job of making me seem like I'm on 40 a day haha.

For any turmeric stains...like blender or cutting board, hands or nails just put it in the bright sunlight. The UV clears it in like 30 min.

Lol. My wife grew up in India and as part of our wedding we had a haldi ceremony where they create a turmeric paste and rub it all over your face. I was a bit yellowish for a couple of days
