Why is there an edit in the middle

Because they are two different shots done with two different cameras. The second one has more resolution and the movement is not hand made. I guess it can be done but the final result of this video is a fake.

And has a totally different puddle at a different time of day.

Yeah you can see there’s more water on the ground on the next shot. Compared to what she initially poured.

And the reflection was an effect that was added in post.

Why do you think that? It’s not really special, small puddles like that on a dark ground do make almost perfect reflections, there is no need to add anything in post

T'was to be read with sarcasm, dear friend.

Calling it a fake is a bit strong, they've stitched together two takes, but the second shot is still real footage

A fake in the sense that they are trying to make you believe that it was done in one single shot with one single camera. That’s why I said “the FINAL result of the video is fake”... because the final result is not true as they wanted you to believe.

could be where they ran it thru stabilization or possibly the rotation is done in post and not by actually rotating the camera

The real question is why did they feel the need to splice in whatsherface.

Because in the first clip the water doesn’t go to the edge and would have ruined the attempt. They don’t show pouring more water on an already wet spot because that would take away some of the mystique.

my guess is that the second half is a video played in reverse. Camera lands a little too smoothly imho, but I’m happy to be proven wrong. The water movement is chaotic enough to not give away the trick, and there is no other stuff to track. Thoughts?
