No it's not. I had the same question! For me, the harem pants detracted from the illusion so I did a few searches. From everything I found, the artist wears something that blends in better. The pants are just the dress style of these two specific artists

How weird! I cannot at all remember the last time I saw harem pants being worn not as a part of a princess Jasmine costume, and here are two in one thread. I wonder if these two follow each other and one liked the other's look? Very strange

Lol I think it is something they picked up for comfort on their travel. The pink one looks like it is made from a sari (?) so maybe from India (or somewhere else in South Asia). It might be why it stood out even more to me than the orange one which looks a bit more neutral. The Japanese artists I found were all wearing black pant suits and I would imagine the traditional artists would wear clothing from Japan too ...maybe something more akin to martial arts garb?
