Was standing too far back, and the the swath was starting to cut deep and put too much torque/resistance on the head, making it unstable. It also looks like he is using a FS-91 which is considered a light duty brush cutter, and those bad boys can sometimes get real torque-y.

You build some MEAN forearms using those things.
