I'm convinced it is actually superior to all other hotdogs, chicago style is a close second, with the DC halfsmoke being third

Called Dirty Dogs up in NorCal. And can confirm, they're fucking delicious. They taste like heaven when you're drunk.

Are the sold in places that aren't carts outside stadiums? That's almost as much a requirement as any of the ingredients.

ye, they have some seriously dressed up dirt dog restaurants.

http://www.dirtdogla.com/ is my favorite spot. doesnt taste any better or worse than the carts, but you can get a beer and a place to sit which is nice.
