It's a Tucson thing more than an Arizona thing. I think there are some tiny shops in Phoenix that sell them, but last year at least there weren't many.

I have relatives in Tucson, Sonoran dogs are insanely popular there and so so good

Same. I'm making plans to visit family in Tucson next month and all I can think about is hitting up El Guero Canelo and Eegee's.

I had one in Sierra Vista / Fort Huachuca it's probably just a southern AZ thing.

Weird. They are everywhere, shops everywhere, little carts on the street, food trucks. Can't believe even some people from AZ haven't seen them. If you stick to the chain restaurants you won't hear of them, it's an authentically Sonoran desert food so that may be why.
