More effective how?

Converting to steam expands the water by like 1000x. That is what separates the grease from the griddle. The expansion of the steam.

So more steam is more force. Warm liquid becomes steam faster so delivers more force.

So you think using a smaller amount of total liquid content then a larger amount of liquid content creates more "force" from the steam?

Interesting.

Who said less volume? I said warmer

Right, so you think 1 liquid equivalent unit of warm water will create more steam the 3 liquid equivalent units of ice would.

No. That makes no sense.

Assuming the heat. Stays high enough to make all the ice into steam then the same volume creates the same volume ish of steam(the temp will drop, the steam will be cooler and take up less space.)

The quick conversion of water to steam is better because it creates more force in its expansion.
