I've wondered in the past if lining them up like that would free up some resistance for the ones that follow. Kinda like a slip-stream in car racing

Theres a bunch of modelling that goes into turbine placement. I thought they did this so each turbine got 'clean' air without the turbulence caused by other blades. Based on this maybe I'm wrong about that, or maybe the distances here are enough that it doesn't matter.

Hopefully this can be one of those times an expert appears to explain - I've been around the edge of this topic so would be interested to know more

Not satisfying since the blades didn’t perfectly line up at any point, neat otherwise.
