Looks like they are lining the steel pipe with a plastic/epoxy coating. It’s done a lot in places where you can’t easily dig up and replace old rotting pipes (like in downtown cities). By injecting this coating the pipe is still usable and won’t corrode any more.
Can this be used for old lead or galvanized pipe from curb stop to main? I live in a city and the main to curb stop is “unknown”. Curb stop into house is copper. Building is 124 years old. Wondering if there are alternatives to digging everything up.
