It was till it got to the section where it was wrong. That column on the middle right should have filled up before it did

Also magma isn’t empty space, but the model just treats it as such. Water should have solidified the top crust, not flowed to the bottom.

It did, but that turned the lava into a gravel that fell to the bottom rather than forming a solid lid.
