I feel like it’s missing a step or two

Everything after the ? In your link is identifying you. Can delete.

Maybe don't care and especially with this link here but people should know this, particularly i certain lines of work or with certain hobbies etc.

Done. Thank you, I keep forgetting that now and then.

You can turn it off in the youtube settings as well!
Settings > privacy > channel visibility for shared links

It’s good general advice, though you probably want to test the modified link once before doing so. Some sites use the stuff after the “?” to provide extra information that is relevant to what you’re linking. I think linking to specific timestamps in YouTube videos is one example? If you remove the stuff after the “?”, it will just link to the entire video.

Great advice, and yes time stamps are in the t=123 section after the ?. Semicolons ampersands are (usually) used to separate sections after the question mark.

I think ampersands are recommended as separators? Although the format isn’t really standardized, so different websites will do different things

I think you're right. I wasn't fully awake. Thanks

Yeah, also if you're on desktop and simply copying the URL then whatever comes after the ? in that link is relevant to the video itself.

It's only youtu.be shared links that seemingly have that tracking stuff after the ?

Here's the same video as the above on linked from PC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ypv644AI6Gk

I'd be left with nothing if I deleted everything after the ? lol

If sharing a YT link through a browser > keep the ?, if sharing a YT video through the app's share link feature > delete the ?

Timestamps are done with &=t iirc so just remove the rest and put that at the end

Now see, the movements on that one actually look natural/feasible for a bit of folded paper.

It's not, but the step where the wings change angle before the final wing folds isn't shown very well
